Opening Ceremony of Petroleum Culture Week XII

On the morning of 24^th August in Hanoi, PetroVietnam Labor Union has organized the Opening Ceremony of Petroleum Week XII and Petro Sports Festival 2019.

The 12th Petroleum Culture Week has been celebrated on the occasion of the great national holidays and the petroleum industry, to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Trade Union; to celebrate the 74th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day of September 2, the 50th Anniversary of the Party and the entire people, to implement the Testament of President Ho Chi Minh (1969 - 2019); 60th Anniversary of Oil and Gas Industry fulfilling Uncle Ho's wishes (1959 - 2019); the 44th anniversary of PetroVietnam (September 3, 1975 - September 3, 2019) and aims to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the Petroleum Industry Tradition Day and the 28th anniversary of the PetroVietnam’s Labor Union.

Leaders of Vietnam Labor Union, PetroVietnam and PetroVietnam’s Labor Union performed the opening ceremony Culture Week XII and Petroleum Sports Festival 2019.

Delegates gave flowers and flags to athletes attending Sports festival.

Petroleum Sport Festival took place from August 23-25, consisting of 8 sports competitions with the participation of nearly 800 athletes from 23 teams with the following contents: male and female tug of war, chess, chess, badminton, table tennis, tennis, swimming and marathon.

After Opening Ceremony, there are semi-finals, finals, and awarding ceremony for tugging game of Sports Festival.

Preliminary matches that have taken place in order to select 4 male and 4 female teams to compete in the semi-finals.

PetroVietnam Labor Union’s executives gave the first prize for male tugging team to PTSC.
