Love for the upland – Connecting love and share

“Love for the upland”- a charity program that was organized by PTSC Thanh Hoa – a member of PTSC; PECI Viet Nam – a member of PEC Ltd, a Singaporean specializing in maintaining and building oil and gas, medical, energy projects; Ashico Asia Assets Investment and Management Company.

On 28^th Sep 2019, “Love for the uplands” implemented some programs to do free medical check, consult and give free medicine for 300 people of ethnic minorities in Ba Thuoc district-one of the poorest districts in Thanh Hoa province, at Lung Cao health stations. “Love for the uplands” also donate Study Encouragement Fund – Giving Gifts to students from poor families, support the new kitchen for Trung Thanh secondary boarding school in Quan Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province. The program was organized by PTSC Thanh Hoa, PECI Viet Nam, Ashico and doctors from Young Doctors Association of Hospital K.

On the morning of 28^th Sep, at Lung Cao Health Station, it was a great morning when there were attendances of 21 volunteer doctors and volunteer teams. It took 3 weeks to do site survey in advance and the results of those surveys were the chances to perform the mission of the program - the mission of connecting love and care!.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Phuong.H. Pham- Director of PTSC Thanh Hoa, representative of the program “Love for the uplands” spoke: The program has the missions of organizing and implementing the humanitarian, cultural and charity programs for the community, creating favorable condition for people in ethnic minorities and upland communes which are far from the center in order to access modern facilities, be consulted and guided to take care themselves in the best and in time way. Furthermore, with the professional consultation of doctors from Hospital K, the program organizers have decided to give an ultrasound machine for Lung Cao Health Station

Among the charity activities in 2019, Love for the uplands conducted the program Study Encouragement Fund for Trung Thanh commune, Quan Hoa district with the amount of 10 million dong, gave presents to students from poor families, supported for the kitchen of Trung Thanh Boarding school, Trung Thanh commune, Quan Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province, in detail: 03 water purifiers, 02 insulation cabinets, 49 bicycles, books, stationary items, kitchen utensils with the total value of 100 million dong.

Ba Thuoc and Quan Hoa are so beautiful on the last days of September – however there are still difficulties. The roads to the uplands are not easy to go and there are still challenges for program teams but it is certain that the love, the passionate and unity are still a bridge connecting strongly to bring any necessary changes to any places.
