The 13th Party Congress affirmed Vietnam's position in the international arena and promoted the strength of the times in protecting national security.

Mr.To Lam, Minister of Public Security introduced the topic "New perceptions, new thinking on national security, protecting national security" in the Resolution of the Congress.

According to Minister of Public Security To Lam, our country is facing three major challenges that directly threaten the life of the Party and the survival of the regime.

About the vision, Mr To Lam said that the 13^th Congress first set out a vision of the country's development strategy to 2030.

So, the new point about the goal of protecting national security here is "Maximizing the synergy of the whole nation, of the whole political system combined with the strength of the times."

The 13^th Congress also set higher requirements, not only closely but also "effectively".
