PTSC Thanh Hoa Achieves Key Construction Milestones On The Block B – O Mon Gas Pipeline Project

During May and June 2026, PTSC Thanh Hoa successfully achieved a series of major milestones across the Pipeline, Fiber Optic Cable (FOC) and Structural, Mechanical & Piping (SMP) packages of the Block B – O Mon Gas Pipeline Project. With the close support and coordination of the Southwest Pipeline Operating Company (SWPOC) and the Block B – O Mon EPC Pipeline Project Management Team of PTSC Corporation, the successful completion of the First Weld, First Push-In, first 1 km of fiber optic cable installation, and First Cut marked the transition from project preparation to full-scale construction across multiple work fronts.

Pipeline Package: From First Weld to First Push-In

On 25 May 2026, PTSC Thanh Hoa successfully completed the First Weld for the gas pipeline section connecting LBV05 to O Mon Gas Distribution Center (GDC), marking the official commencement of pipeline construction activities. Following the mobilization of manpower, equipment and construction resources, the project team efficiently executed pipe welding, quality inspection, pipe string assembly and preparation for pipeline installation.

Building on this achievement, the Company successfully completed the First Push-In on 18 June 2026 at the TTC25 construction site in O Mon, Can Tho. This milestone represents the successful completion of the entire construction sequence—from material receiving, welding and quality inspection to pipe string assembly and installation into the trench—demonstrating PTSC Thanh Hoa's capability to deliver complex pipeline construction activities safely and efficiently.

FOC Package: Innovative Solution Delivers First Kilometer of Fiber Optic Cable

For the Fiber Optic Cable (FOC) package, PTSC Thanh Hoa has completed approximately 22 km of HDPE conduit installation along the pipeline route.

Facing challenging site conditions that prevented the use of conventional installation methods, the project team proactively developed an innovative construction solution tailored to the actual field environment. As a result, on 19 June 2026, PTSC Thanh Hoa successfully completed the installation of the first kilometer of fiber optic cable.

Beyond being the first production milestone for the FOC package, this achievement demonstrates the team's technical expertise, innovation and adaptability in overcoming construction challenges while maintaining project quality and schedule.

The successful implementation also establishes an effective methodology for subsequent installation sections, helping reduce technical risks and supporting the overall project timeline.

SMP Package: First Cut Marks the Start of Steel Structure Fabrication

On 20 June 2026, PTSC Thanh Hoa, together with project partners, successfully held the First Cut Ceremony for the steel structure package of the O Mon Gas Distribution Center at Nhat Steel Factory.

The event officially marked the commencement of steel structure fabrication, opening the next phase of manufacturing, quality control and installation activities. This important milestone ensures that fabricated steel components will be delivered in accordance with project quality requirements, technical specifications and construction schedules, supporting the successful execution of subsequent SMP works.
