PetroVietnam Mr. Hung.M.L had a meeting with General Director of AES

On 15^th Aug 2019 in Hanoi, General Director of PetroVietnam – Mr. Hung.M had a meeting and working session with Mr. Bernerd Da Santos, Vice Chairman cum General Director of AES (USA).

On this occasion, Mr. Bernerd Da Santos has informed to PetroVietnam executive on some main activities of AES.AES is an USA company with a lot of experience in producing and distributing electricity in USA and all over the world. In Vietnam, AES has developed Mong Duong 2 Thermal Power Plant with the capacity of 1230 MW. The project has completed and into operation since April 2015.

In addition, AES also has experience in building infrastructure in gas industry, with LNG liquid gas plant and warehouses in Dominica and Panama. Currently, AES concerns to the investment of Son My Gas Projects which PetroVietanm/PV Gas invested. In Nov 2017, PV Gas and AES signed the memorandum at LNG Son My Warehouse Project.

Mr. Bernerd Da Santos hoped that PetroVietnam continuously support and cooperate AES to implement projects efficiently and effectively.

At the working session, Mr. Hung M.L highly evaluated the experience and ability of AES in energy projects in Vietnam, also welcome AES in cooperation with PetroVietnam/PV Gas in Electricity Gas Project in Son My (Binh Thuan).

Mr. Hung.M.L emphasize the implementation of these projects hold an important role in VII Electricity Planning in Vietnam as well as LNG supplying chain in the area ensuring the energy source in the coming years. The cooperation between AES and PetroVietnam/PV Gas affirmed the important role in energy cooperation in general and cooperation between companies in detail.

Mr. Hung.M.L committed that PetroVietnam will support AESS necessarily to implement projects successfully ensuring the progress and the benefits. He also wished that AES and USA companies continued to boost up the cooperation with PetroVietnam and its subsidiaries in the future.
