Ten Amazing years of BSR

This month, BSR celebrates its 10th anniversary. 10 years is not long, but for BSR’s workers 10 years is a very meaningful time. The workers here have turned a vast white sand into the country's first oil and gas processing industry, making a great contribution to the national budget.

Driving force of Central Vietnam

If the economic sector in the central provinces is a train, the BSR is the driving force of the regional economy development. Over the past 10 years, BSR has overcome challenges and strengths to meet the requirements of taking over and operating Dung Quat Refinery safely and stably.

After more than 9 years of operation, Dung Quat Refinery produced 52.1 million tons of products; total revenue of 905.3 trillion VND (equivalent to nearly 40 billion USD); contributing to the State budget 148.24 trillion VND (equivalent to nearly 7 billion USD); After-tax profit reached 18.6 trillion VND.

Dung Quat's products meet more than 30% of the country's gasoline and oil demand. With the spirit of creative labor, in addition to common petroleum products, Dung Quat refinery has been producing fuel for military equipment, requiring high quality.

In 2017, despite many difficulties and challenges, BSR has achieved and exceeded all production and business targets: output reached over 6.1 million tons; Turnover reached 82,021 billion dong; contributed to the state budget of 9,872 billion; After-tax profit reached VND7, 712 billion.

In the first four months of 2018, with the determination of BSR's employees and under the drastic direction of PVN, Dung Quat refinery still operates safely, 108-110% yield. The company has produced over 2.3 million tons of products; revenue reached 33,413 billion; State budget revenue reached 3,652 billion and profit reached 1,846 billion.

10 years of operation, factory maintenance, BSR staff has 163 large and small initiatives; There are dozens of scientific research topics applied in practice, bringing high economic efficiency. According to the latest statistics, in 2017, BSR has successfully implemented 11 energy optimization solutions.

Community Responsibility

Not only excellently accomplishes the task of managing the safe and effective operation of Dung Quat refinery, BSR is also a socially responsible enterprise. In addition to the social security programs in and outside Quang Ngai, BSR is very interested in remote areas with many difficulties throughout the country.

The value of social security programs of BSR since 2010 has reached over 236 billion.
