The three giants investor of the port industry want to invest 6,000 billion in building a logistics center in Thanh Hoa

3 large enterprises including Asia Asset Management and Investment Joint Stock Company (ASHICO), Saigon Newport Corporation - Tan Cang Sea Services Joint Stock Company (SNP-TCO) and Tan Maritime Joint Stock Company Northern Port (TCM) proposed to invest in a North Central Logistics center and infrastructure of industrial parks (IZs) in Nghi Son - Thanh Hoa economic zone with a total investment of 6,000 billion VND.

On January 8, representatives of ASHICO and businesses had a meeting with the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province about proposing to research and explore investment opportunities in Thanh Hoa province for investment projects. The project includes the main items, as follows: Investing in the construction of the North Central Coast logistic center, trading in infrastructure of the industrial park and the port of Containe with 50,000 DWT. Total estimated investment is about 6,000 billion VND. In which, contributed capital reached 1,000 billion VND, accounting for 16.67%, loan capital was estimated at 5,000 billion VND, accounting for 83.73%.

ASHICO Company and partners wish to implement the project on an area of ​​about 395 hectares in communes, Mai Lam ward, Tinh Hai, Hai Yen (Nghi Son town). In which, 370 ha of industrial zone No. 6 and 25 ha of land belong to seaport planning.

According to the plan, the project is divided into 2 phases, phase 1 from 2021 to the end of 2024, is expected to be deployed on an area of ​​200 hectares including registration procedures, site clearance, construction investment. infrastructure, ICD dry ports, warehouse systems, logistics services, import and export services ... Phase 2 from 2025 to the end of 2028.

The goal of the project is to build a logistics center for the North Central region, to serve the logistics needs of Nghi Son economic zone, Thanh Hoa province as well as neighboring areas, to build a deep-water port to accommodate ships of 50,000. DWT and provides a full range of major logistics services according to the provisions of Decree No. 140/2007 / ND-CP of the Government...

It is expected that when the project is completed and put into operation, it will create jobs for about 20,000 workers.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Mai Xuan Liem said he would accompany and support maximum investors to implement the project. 

In addition to the policies to encourage and support investment attraction stipulated by the Government, Thanh Hoa province will consult with the proposals of relevant departments, branches and units to propose mechanisms and levels of incentives. own, most suitable.
