Total of outstanding events of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) from February 17th to February 24th

1. Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung send New Year congratulations to PVN

On 21st Feb, 2018, Mr. Trinh Dinh Dung - Member of the Executive Board of Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister led the delegation of the Government to visit and work with leaders, officials and labors of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) on New Year's Days.

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung gave gifts to leaders, officials and labors of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Mr. Trinh Dinh Dung- Deputy Prime Minister send a new year greeting to all leaders, officials and labors of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group all over the country and overseas.

Mr. Trinh Dinh Dung affirmed that the Party, the State and the Government have always respected the role of the petroleum industry in building, developing and defending the Fatherland and expressed their belief in the oil and gas industry. Vietnam gas will carry out its tasks in 2018 with the highest results, worthy of the expectations of the Party, the State and the people.

2. Leaders of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Ministry of Industry and Trade send New Year congratulations to PVN 

On the occasion of Lunar New Year, on February 21 in Hanoi, the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade came to congratulate for happy new year, encourge laborers of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group PVN).

A delegation from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by Mr. Bui Van Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and a delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade was led by Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, came to visit and send congratulations for a happy new year to PVN.
 
3. All employees of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group met in the new year
 
On February 21 in Hanoi, on the first working day of “Mau Tuat” New Year, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group held a meeting in the beginning of the year. This is a chance for the leaders, officials and labors of the Group to meet each other, creating a lively atmosphere, motivating employees on the occasion of the new year

Chairman of PVN Tran Sy Thanh sent New Year congratulations to all leaders, officials and labors of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group. 

On behalf of the leaders of the Group, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh sent wishes to all leaders, officials and employees of the oil and gas industry and their family for the happy new year, the good health, and the prosperity.  On the occasion of new spring, with the new spirit, Chairman of PVN Tran Sy Thanh also expressed that the Group will make every effort to promote the strength of the collective and the spirit of oil people to overcome difficulties, complete excellently the tasks of 2018 and the following years.

4. PV GAS focuses on business production in the first week of the new year

On February 21, 2018, after the New Year holidays, PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PV Gas) has entered the first day of the New Year with high determination.

  Leaders of PV GAS visited and wished the Lunar New Year of MTV Co., Ltd. - Sai Gon New Port Corporation.

Units in PV GAS held a brief meeting to congratulate employees in the unit with the spirit of saving, focus on business production plans from the beginning of the new year.

At the headquarters of PV Gas Ho Chi Minh City, the employees of PV GAS executives gathered to meet and receive congratulations from the Board of Directors. Entire units, gas works have started work week after Tet with the rush and full of the spirit of determination. Besides, the units also recognized the community work, which was implemented during the Lunar New Year.

The delegation led by representatives of the PV GAS Board visited other cities to send New Year congratulations to the employees and encourage the spirit of work of people working in gas works.

5. Ca Mau Fertilizer Company is excited to work in the new year

On February 21st, Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (PVCFC, Ca Mau Fertilizer Joint Stock Company) met in three locations in Ca Mau, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate the first day of working in the new year.

 The leaders of PVCFC handed lucky money to employees.

PVCFC leaders also came to visit and send New Year's greetings to the engineers and workers who are working at Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant and praised the spirit of working of labors in the Tet holiday to help the plant operate stably.

6. Leader of Ministry of Industry and Trade, PVN works with PVTEX

On February 22nd, in Hai Phong, a delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade was led by Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong, came to sent New Year greetings to Petrovietnam Oil and Petroleum Joint Stock Company gas (PVTEX) and check the progress of the operation of Dinh Vu Fibers Factory.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong sent the New Year greetings to PVTEX staffs, who are working hard for the project.

In the process of overcoming the difficulties of Dinh Vu Fibers Factory, everyone must comply with the provisions of law. Facing the specific difficulties of the project, the shareholders of Dinh Vu Fibers Factory are directly responsible and have full control over the fate of the factory.

7. Chairman of PVN works in Thanh Hoa Province

On February 23rd, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission, Chairman of Petrovietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) visited and worked at Thanh Hoa province and Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemicals LLC.

Mr. Tran Sy Thanh - Chairman of PVN visited and encouraged staffs of domestic and international contractors who are participating in the project of NSRP.

On the site, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh expressed his sincere appreciation to all officers and employees who worked during Tet holiday to ensure the progress, quality and safety of the Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemicals LLC.

Excited at the progress of Nghi Son Refinery Project, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh once again confirmed the role and importance of the NSRP for the development of Vietnam's oil and gas industry in general and for the economy of Thanh Hoa province in particular. He said: This is a typical project for the cooperation between Vietnam - Japan and Kuwait and the implementation of the strategy of oil and gas industry development cooperation of three countries, aiming to bring oil and gas industry in three countries on growing rapidly and contributing more to the economic development of each country.

8. Commencement of the project of Southern Petrochemical Complex

On February 24th, in the province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc pressed the button to kick off the key project of Southern Petrochemical Complex.

 The ceremony of pressing the button to start the project.

Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised and appreciated the efforts of the localities as well as investors during the last time. Local people have supported the policy of relocation from the project area to have a place for the project. He said: “The project has been implemented for many years, overcome many difficulties. On behalf of the Government, I highly appreciate that SCG and Petrovietnam investors have overcome many challenges to discuss specifically with the Government and local authorities to agree on investment plans and start the project”.

The Southern Petrochemical Complex Project, which was a joint venture between SCG Group of Thailand and Petrovietnam, was built on an area of 464 ha and 194 ha of water surface with a total investment of $ 3.77 billion, is expected to increase investment capital to $ 5.4 billion.
