Chairman of PetroVietnam welcomed Idenmitsu Kosan leaders

In the morning of 23rd January 2018, at PetroVietnam’s headquarter, Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Tran Sy Thanh had a meeting with executives of Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd leaded by Mr. Yasunori Maeda.

On behalf of Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd., Mr. Yasunori Maeda congratulated Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, PetroVietnam new Chairman in his new position

At the meeting, PVN’s Chairman heard Mr. Yasunori Maeda introducing about Idemitsu's activities in Vietnam, especially in Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Project. This project has marked the close cooperation between Petrovietnam and Idemitsu for nearly 30 years, a significant project of the two governments - Vietnam and Japan. Mr. Yasunori confirmed that Idemitsu shall be committed to make great efforts with Petrovietnam in order to implement the project.

PetroVietnam’s Chairman - Mr. Tran Sy Thanh appreciated the long-term good cooperation between the two groups, especially the efforts of Idemitsu in Nghi Son project. He also said this has been a large project of Vietnam with the special consideration of the National Assembly and Vietnam government. On behalf of PetroVietnam, the Chairman of the Board of Directors affirmed that Petrovietnam would work closely with its partners to solve the difficulties faced by both parties
