PTSC Thanh Hoa’s Labor union successfully organized the labor union congress for the term of 2017-2022

On 3^rd August 2017, Labor Union of PTSC Thanh Hoa Port Joint Stock Company (PTSC Thanh Hoa) held the third Congress for the term of 2017 - 2022.

The congress was honored to welcome Mr. Nguyen Tran Toan, Member of PetroVietnam Labor Union, Vice President of PTSC, Chairman of Labor Union of PTSC; Mr. Vu Duc Cuong - Member of Executive Board of PetroVietnam Labor Union, Vice Chairman of Labor Union of PTSC; Mr. Nguyen The Chuyen – Member of Standing Committee of Labor Union of PTSC; Mr. Le Van Nga, Secretary of Party Committee, Director of PTSC Thanh Hoa; party secretaries, Deputy directors PTSC Thanh Hoa and the elite unionists from 05 Labor Unions, representing 437 employees of the company.

At the congress, Mr. To Ngoc Thu, Chairman of Labor Union of PTSC Thanh Hoa reported that Labor Union’s activities of the term of 2012 – 2017 have marked the strong development of activity, organization and number of members of PTSC Thanh Hoa’s Labor Union. The leadership of the Labor Union of PTSC, the Party Committee of PTSC Thanh Hoa and the coordination of the departments and political organizations has encouraged the staff and Labor Union members to implement the objectives in accordance with the Resolution proposed in 2^nd term Labor Union Congress, constantly learning, training, dedicating and maturing in different fields. Looking back through 5 years of implementing the resolution of the second Labor Union Congress, despite many difficulties and challenges, but with the efforts of each department’s Labor Union, of each staff, Union members, employees in the company, Labor Union’s activities in the past term have achieved many important results. The activities of the union have followed the objectives and requirements of the company, contributing actively to the great achievements of the company in recent years. The report at the Congress indicated that in the past term, all staff and Labor Union members have well fulfilled their targets according to the Resolution of the 2^nd Labor Union Congress of PTSC Thanh Hoa and have achieved many important results, Labor Union organized many emulation campaigns in projects, ensuring safety, progress and efficiency, contributing to completing the operation and business plan of the company.

Every year, Labor Union has effectively organized the annual sport festival of the company and sent representatives to participate in Sports Festival and Performance of the Corporation with significant result. The results achieved at the Corporation's Sport Festival and Musical Performance 2016:

- About the sport: Men's tennis and men's table tennis won the 3rd prize.

- About the musical performance: won the second prize of the whole group, participated in 05 performances: one second prize and 4 first prizes.

The Labor Union actively advised the authorities to support Tet gifts, visit, and help poor people who suffering serious diseases, the policy beneficiaries in the company. The Labor Union has cooperated with the Youth Union, Veterans Association in the company to organize the program "Happy New Year - Warm Spring" to support the Union members who have difficulties in life.

In the past term, under the direction of PTSC and Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, PTSC Thanh Hoa has contributed to the Oil and Gas Mutual Support Fund; helped people in flooded areas; in Truong Sa Island, together with the Labor Union of PTSC gave presents to Vietnamese heroic mothers; coordinated with authorities to implement welfare projects and funds provided by PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation in the districts of the province and from the welfare fund of the company; visited and gave presents in occasion of War Invalids and Martyr’s day, supported the construction of memorial martyrs' quarters on Me Island and gave gifts to policy beneficiaries and relatives of Nghi Son commune and many other mutual assistance in the area.

Under the company's development requirements, the Labor Union has always innovated in the mode of operation and clearly define its role and function as an association protecting legal and reasonable rights of the employees, as a companion with the employees, to contribute effectively to the sustainable development of the company. The third Labor Union Congress had evaluated and summarized the achievements as well as the weakness and draw lessons learned through the implementation of the Resolution of the 2nd Labor Union Congress, from that defined the objectives, directions and tasks of Labor Union activity for the term of 2017-2022; The Congress had selected and elected the Executive Committee of the 3^rd Labor Union with 13 members and elected 07 representatives for the Seventh Labor Union Congress of PTSC.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Tran Toan –Vice President, Chairman of Labor Union of PTSC and Mr. Le Van Nga - Secretary of Party Committee, Director of PTSC Thanh Hoa have praised the typical achievements of the company's Labor Union in all aspects of activities, Labor Union activities, taking good care of material and spiritual life of Union members. The activities of promoting emulation movement, innovations, technical improvement, improvement of the productivity, quality and efficiency of work ... At the same time, the attendants also proposed the Executive Committee of the 3^rd Labor Union to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, democracy, dynamism, creativity to lead the Union’s activities more and more in depth, meet the needs of Union members, employees and complete excellently the assignments.

Labor Union of PTSC Thanh Hoa will drastically renew the content and the mode of operation deserved to be a companion of workers and the organization representing the will and aspirations of employees in the company, for the sustainable development of PTSC Thanh Hoa.
