PVN Delegation visit and work with Australian partners

From 14 to 19 October 2019, the PVN delegation led by Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors visited and worked with Australian partners.

Joining the delegation were Mr. Do Chi Thanh – Vice President of the Group and leader of the Administration Office, Mr. Duong Manh Son - PV Gas General Director, Mr. Pham Viet Anh - PV Trans General Director, Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuong - PV Power Deputy General Director and PV Coal, PV Gas D.

During the time in Australia, PVN delegation worked with Origin Energy and Woodside on the chance for cooperating and supplying LNG to the Vietnam market and Yancoal Australia Ltd. (Yancoal), Glencore on the change for supplying coal and transportation.

Origin Energy is Australia's leading integrated energy company focused on gas and oil exploration and production. Woodside is the pioneer of the LNG industry in Australia and the largest Australian natural gas producer. Woodside wishes to supply LNG to the Vietnamese market and is particularly interested in cooperating with PV Gas in this field.

Yancoal is one of Australia's largest coal mining enterprises, established in 2004, in which the largest shareholder is Chinese with 62.26% shares. In the field of thermal coal, Yancoal has mastered the supply chain, including: exploration and development; exploitation and production; processing, mixing and logistics.

Glencore ranks tenth in the Fortune Global 500 list of the world's largest companies. Glencore's main business activities are Metals & Mining, Energy (petroleum and coal) and Agriculture.

Also in Australia, PVN and the units worked with such potential partners as Santos, Chevron and Welhunt Corporation on the fields of supplying gas, LNG, coal, and minerals.

In general, The PVN delegation's trip to Australia went well, and the Australian partners highly appreciate the relationship and the chance to cooperate with PVN in the fields of gas, minerals, and energy.
