PetroVietnam executives attended U.S.-Vietnam Energy Security Dialogue

Recently, PetroVietnam’s Deputy General Director – Mr. Thanh.C.Do has joined the delegation of Ministry of Industry and Trade lead by Vice Minister Dang Hoang An to take part in the second annual U.S.-Vietnam Energy Security Dialogue held by U.S Department of State, US Embassy in Hanoi and Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The energy security dialogue mechanism was established two years ago, with the first meeting held in Hanoi in March 2018.

The establishment of an energy security dialogue will form a co-operative mechanism at the governmental level with the participation of management agencies, research units and enterprises of the two countries to help create favorable conditions for exchanging and sharing information on policies and plans for energy development and coordinating proposals, building and developing cooperation projects in each specific area.

For developing countries like Vietnam, it is necessary to ensure national energy security and sustainable development of the energy sector.

Vice Minister of Ministry of Industry and Trade Dang Hoang An gave the speech at the opening session of the 2nd Vietnam - US Energy Security Dialogue.

The 2nd Vietnam - US Energy Security Dialogue in Washington DC by U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources (ENR) Francis R. Fannon and Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Dang Hoang An co-chaired, with attendance of interagency representatives and enterprises in the energy sector of the two countries and representatives of World Bank.
