Welcoming the first oilflow from Ca Tam Oil Field
In the afternoon of 8th Mar 2019, in Vung Tau city, Viet Nga Vietsovpetro hold ceremony to welcome the first oilflow from Ca Tam oil field Block 09-3/12.
Attending the ceremony, there were attendances of stated executives, leaders of PetroVietnam, PVEP and leaders of Vietsovpetro.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietsovpetro’s General Director reviewed the project implementation process. CTC1-WHP exploitation rig was started from March 2018 and is the most important item in the development project of Ca Tam oil field under Block 09-3 / 12. Block 09-3 / 12 is operated by Vietsovpetro as an operator under a consortium of PVN and three contractors Vietsovpetro, PVEP and Bitexco Group with the share profit 55%, 30% and 15% according signed contract in 2012.
On 25th Jan, CTC1-WHP oil rig belongs to Ca Tam, Block 09/3-12 produced the first oil flow with the capacity of 1630 tons/day.
According the plans, in 2019, drilling operation shall be continued and exploited with 6 more wells, the annual production is expected to reach 766.000 tons of oil.

Vice Prime Minister of Commerce and Industry-Mr. An. H. Dang highly appreciated the efforts of consortium Vietsovpetro – PVEP – Bitexco and PetroVietnam.
At the ceremony, representatives of Vietsovpetro, PVEP, Bitexco and partners signed the agreement on Ca Tam oil field, Block 09-3/12 under the witnesses of attendance, in detail: Agreement on providing services connecting Ca Tam oil field to other oil fields of Block 09-1; Agreement on exploiting Ca Tam oil field 09-3/12 and Agreement on selling oil from Ca Tam Oil field 09 -3/12.
Representatives of Vietsovpetro, PVEP, Bitexco and partners signed the agreement on Ca Tam – Block 09-3/12.
Delegates opened the valve to get the first oilflow from Ca Tam Oil field.
