Mr. Nguyen Dinh Xung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Thanh Hoa People's Committee paid a Lunar New year visit to PTSC Thanh Hoa

In the morning of February 15^th 2016 (8^th Binh Than Lunar New Year 2016), Mr Nguyen Dinh Xung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Thanh Hoa People's Committee; Leaders of the Office of Provincial People's Committee; Leaders of Department of Industry and Commerce, Department of Construction, Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; Leaders of Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone; Leaders of Tinh Gia District People's Committee visited and delivered wishes to PTSC Thanh Hoa on the occasion of Tet holiday Binh Than 2016. Mr. Le Van Nga – Secretary of the Party Committee cum Director of PTSC Thanh Hoa, and the Board of Directors, Heads of Departments, team leaders and all employees welcomed the delegation.

On behalf of PTSC Thanh Hoa, Mr Le Van Nga reported the tremendous achievements in 2015 and the development orientation in 2016, deployed the company’s operation in the beginning of the year and simultaneously appreciated the attention and support of the provincial leaders, the departments and the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and wished a happy New Year.

PTSC Thanh Hoa has also successfully implemented socio-economics-politics missions to continue to develop an important role in economic attraction and development. In particular, PTSC Thanh Hoa has affirmed the role of provincial enterprises in developing high quality services, which has been reflected in winning and successful implementation of bidding packages with strict requirements on technique, quality and safety in the fields of logistics, mechanics, and port.

In 2016, PTSC Thanh Hoa identified the most important target is to co-operate with Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemicals LLC to develop long-term services such as: Maritime service vessels; Mechanical maintenance service; Operation support; PP Handling. Mr. Le Van Nga proposed to the Chairman of Thanh Hoa’s People Committee some following points:

  1. Approve the plan of upgrading PTSC Thanh Hoa port from 50,000 DWT to 70,000 DWT in order for PTSC Thanh Hoa to submit the Ministry of Transport. Simultaneously, the province only permits investment of new port if necessary to avoid waste in investment.

   2. The province should have a separate tonnage mechanism for the goods circulation in the Nghi Son Economic Zone (EZ) in order to create competitive advantages for enterprises in Nghi Son EZ by increasing productivity, reducing the release time. As a result, products price will decrease.

   3. The province and Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone will direct the contractors to accelerate the construction progress of Road No. 513 to Nghi Son port for cargo traffic and to keep traffic safe.

   4. The province proposes Vietnam Maritime Administration and Thanh Hoa Port Authority to approve NSRP to take initiative and be responsible for calculating the towing capacity of the tug boats supporting Crude Oil Carrier at SPM port. NSRP shall be responsible for replacing another appropriate vessel in case the requirements cannot be fulfilled during commissioning phase.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Xung - Chairman of Thanh Hoa People's Committee- highly appreciated the breakthrough of PTSC Thanh Hoa in all aspects, especially in creating jobs, raising income of employees and expanding port services in order to create favorable environment to attract investment for Nghi Son Economic Zone in Thanh Hoa province. He also expressed his excitement for the bustling spirit of employees in the beginning days of the year in the company. He consented the proposal of PTSC Thanh Hoa and committed that the province would support PTSC Thanh Hoa in investment of expanding the port up to 70,000 DWT and other production and business activities in the area.
