On June 8 and 9 in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Group Office) held the 3rd Party Congress of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group's Party Committee, the term of 2020. -2025.

Attending and directing the Congress were Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Group's Member Council; Mr. Le Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of the Group and comrades in the Party Standing Committee, Member of the Board of Members, Deputy General Director of the Group and 199 representatives of 21 Party organizations and 502 Party members in the entire Party Committee of the Group Agency attend the Congress.

Overview of the Congress.

In the period of 2020-2025, the Party Committee identifies the task of working closely with the Party committees throughout the Group to lead the implementation to exceed and exceed the targets in the national energy development strategy in general and Development strategy of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group in particular.

Mr. Nguyen Van Mau, Deputy General Director of the Group presented the Political Report at the Congress.

At the meeting, the Party cells of the Group's Party Committee had presentations on the achievements of the 2015-2020 term as well as directions, tasks and solutions for the 2020-2025 tenure.

The Petroleum Exploitation Committee will continue to drastically implement solutions to deal with the "dual" crisis, striving to exploit the mines with production costs of about 30 USD. After 2024, the equivalent quantity of oil and gas is expected to increase to a stable amount of 25-30 million tons per year.

Representatives of the Party cell of Gas, Refinery and Petrochemical Industry presented the presentation at the Congress.

Presenting at the Meeting, the Party cell of Gas, Refinery and Petrochemical Industry Department also highlighted the difficulties that the industry has been facing.

In that situation, the Party cell of Gas, Refinery and Petrochemical Industry has proposed many solutions such as thoroughly applying the management solutions to operating closely associated with the continuous fluctuations of the market, optimally reducing investment production costs, connecting the entire supply chain from the beginning to the end to form a closed ecosystem to dominate the market, disperse risks and increase efficiency.

Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Group Member Council spoke at the Meeting.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors respectfully acknowledged and praised the results that the Party Committee of the Group achieved in the last term, while emphasizing, the term 2015-2020 is a volatile term, especially the oil price plummets at the beginning and the end of the term but with determination and tradition of "fire seekers", the Group has fulfilled its assigned tasks, making a significant contribution to the country's economic growth.

The leaders of the Group congratulated the Executive Committee of the 3rd Party Committee of the Group for the term 2020-2025.

The Congress voted the 3rd Party Executive Committee, term 2020-2025, including 27 comrades, who are virtuous, capable, and enthusiastic comrades to lead the implementation of the Congress Resolution and take on the responsibility gave by members of the Party Committee of the Group.

At the First Conference, the Executive Committee of the Group voted a Standing Committee of 9 comrades. Mr. Le Manh Hung - General Director of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group was elected to be the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Group Agency; Mr. Nguyen Van Mau and Mr. Pham Quang Dung were Deputy Secretary.
