Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Executives worked with Nghi Son Oil Refinery

On 24^th May 2018, in Nghi Son - Thanh Hoa, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh- Chairman of the Members’ Council of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (PVN) and related units worked with Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Llc. (NSRP)

On the NSRP side were Mr. Turki Alajmi – General Director, Mr. Dinh Van Ngoc – Deputy General Director, Mr. Junzo Yamamoto – Factory Director, Mr. Mousa Al-Obaidan – Financial Director and representatives of functional departments, test run experts.

Mr. Turki, CEO, reported to Mr. Tran Sy Thanh and his team on the launch and commissioning of the Plant. After approve the operating benchmark in accordance with the provisions of the EPC contract, the employees, engineers and experts of the contractor, partner, technology licensor have put crude oil into the Crude Oil Distillation Unit (CDU) from March 31^st 2018 to start the plant and process crude oil. On April 27^th 2018, the Plant produced the first MOGAS 92 RON gasoline petroleum product line with the standards of EURO 4, meeting the designed standards and Vietnam standards.

Until May 19^th 2018, the Plant has successfully kicked off the RFCC Unit with the technology of AXENS. Up to now, this Unit is operating stably at 70% of designed capacity and continues to produce high value intermediates for mixing and processing into high quality gasoline products: MOGAS 95 EURO4, DIESEL EURO 4, Polypropylene ...

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Members’ Council, Tran Sy Thanh has recognized, praised and highly appreciated the efforts of leaders, officers and international employees of NSRP in the past, with the highest determination to start the Plant on schedule while ensuring safety. Mr. Tran Sy Thanh was very touched and thanked Mr. Turki's and the international laborers for their sincere and precious sentiments for beloved President Ho Chi Minh. In addition to the achievements, it is expected that the plant will face other difficulties and challenges before reaching the final destination. Therefore, PVN's directors requested the leaders, officers and specialists of the NSRP to focus on the highest quality and efficiency of the plant, while the NSRP should also promote the communication to promote the quality of its products.
