Directors of PetroVietnam delegation visit Kuwait

During the period from 19th  to 24th October 2018, the delegation of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) led by Deputy General Director Le Manh Hung visited and worked with Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI) and other KPC subsidiaries (KIPIC, KOTC, KUPPEC, KNPC, KOC).

During the mission, on October 21st, 2018, Deputy General Director Le Manh Hung, Vietnamese Ambassador in Kuwait Trinh Minh Manh and his delegation worked with Waleed Al-Bader, Director of International Trade of KPC and KPC, KPI directors.

At the meeting, Mr. Waleed Al-Bader said that Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical project has been invested by KPC, which is considered as economic importance investment of Kuwait and contributes significantly to two countries’ relation.

On the same day, the delegation worked with Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI) and other subsidiaries of KPC (KIPIC, KOTC, KUPPEC, KNPC). , KOC). On behalf of PetroVietnam, Deputy General Director Le Manh Hung highly appreciated the cooperation between KPI and Petrovietnam. At the same time, Deputy General Director suggested that KPI and its subsidiaries continue to study and seek opportunities and chances for new investment cooperation in providing petroleum services that both sides have strengths in Kuwait’s market as well as other future cooperation projects.

On October 22nd, the delegation visited the Embassy of Vietnam in Kuwait.

On the same day, the delegation paid a visit to the Al-Zour Refinery Project (90 km from Kuwait City) of KIPIC, a subsidiary of KPC. The plant has a capacity of 615,000 barrels of crude oil per day with Kuwaiti crude. This is the project with the largest ARDS treatment system in the world; the project has a total investment of about $13 billion. The project is under construction and is expected to be operational by 2021.
