EPC Contract of LNG Thi Vai Project

On June 24^th, 2019, at PetroVietnam’s headquarter, the signing ceremony of the design contract, procurement of equipment and materials, construction and commissioning of LNG Thi Vai Storage project (EPC) was held between PV GAS and PTSC/Samsung C&T General Contractor. The ceremony was attended by representatives of government leaders, government office, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Central Business Party Committee and State Capital Management Committee; on the enterprise side, there were representatives of EVN, PVN and member enterprises as well as media and press agencies.

LNG Thi Vai Storage Project with a capacity of 1 million tons/year is a key project contributing to supplementing gas sources for consumers in the region, especially Nhon Trach 3 & 4 Power Plant, which is expected to operate commercially in the third quarter of 2022 while gas supply from domestic mines begins to be inadequate from the end of 2023. After the international bidding process, the consortium of Samsung C&T and PTSC has been selected.Continuing to be trusted by PV Gas, PTSC has been affirmed in capability and reputation for oil and gas onshore EPC services.
