On 28th October in Hanoi, People’s newspaper has hold a meeting with the topic “Oil industry with the vision of sea strategy” in order to identify the role of Oil and gas industry in Vietnam economic sea strategy.

At the seminar, delegates focused on issues such as important contributions of the oil and gas industry to the country such as; Assess the impact of the 4.0 industrial revolution on the development of the oil and gas industry; scientific and technical level, technology of the oil and gas industry of Vietnam in the world's oil exporting countries.

Also in this seminar, representatives of oil and gas units shared information on the key projects such as the plant extension of  Dung Quat Refinery and Oill; O Mon Gas Block B Project.

On behalf of the Group's leaders, Member of the Board of Members of PetroVietnam – Mr. Canh.X.Pham has shared the company's development strategy in the coming time. In particular, the Group continues to develop in five areas which identify the field of exploration and exploitation of oil and gas is the core area. At present, PetroVietnam is trying to focus on the comprehensive restructuring of the Group's operations as well as its member units.

Deputy Chairman of the Economic Committee of the National Assembly- Mr. Kien.D.Nguyen expected through this seminar, the National Assembly members, economic experts will have the record and advises to Congress and the Government on the amendment the policies for the projects of PetroVietnam, also the need to amend the Petroleum Law in line with the strategic orientations for development of the oil and gas industry in new stage.
