PTSC’s efforts to expand overseas

In the first six months of 2018, the consolidated revenue of PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) is VND 6700 billion, equal to 129% of the 6-month target and profit before tax achieved VND 340 billion.

Build up strengths

Total operating days of PTSC vessels in the first six months of 2018 reaches 1429 working days. In particular, PTSC Quang Ngai - a subsidiary of PTSC has done well to provide maritime vessels for oil spill prevention and fire and safety services for Dung Quat refinery as well as support tankers and gasoline tanker calling in/out SPM, product berth. Another subsidiary of PTSC - PTSC Thanh Hoa also ensures service vessels serving Nghi Son Petrochemical and Refinery Plant in an efficient manner, supporting the delivery of five VLCC.

In the field of exploration and processing services of crude oil (FSO / FPSO), PTSC has well performed the management, exploitation and operation of FPSO Ruby II, FSO PTSC Bong Dong 1, Lam Son FPSO. In addition, PTSC is actively negotiating to sign a new FPSO contract for exploitation at Lot 01/97 & 02/97; continue to implement the crew supply contracts with Modec and MVOT partners for FSO MV12 and FSO Orkid, providing personnel to work on the Thai Binh FPSO Floating Warehouse for Cuu Long JOC.

Expanding the scope of supply of services for onshore industrial projects, PTSC is asserting its capacity in this area with many projects such as NPK-NH3 Phu My Project, Ca Mau GPP Project, Hai Phong Port Warehouse Project, and Go Dau Port Expansion Project. Some potential offshore projects, such as Long Son Refinery Complex, Dung Quat Refinery expansion, Blue Whale Complex, Ho Tram Plant, Bao Vang Gas Processing Plant, Dinh Co GPP2 are also being approached by PTSC.

In the field of traditional strengths is oil and gas mechanical services, in addition to the oil and gas engineering projects such as: DK Project, Sao Vang Dai Nguyet, etc, PTSC is also approaching other potential projects in the industry, such as: Golden Camel, White Lion FF-stage 2, Golden Leopard, White Cetus, Golden Cetus, Nam Du U Minh.

Continuing to "export services", PTSC deploys and implements projects for foreign partners, such as: Subsea Structural Fabrication & Topside Modification-PLD Project for Rosneft; Spools, Jumpers and Installation Aids Fabrication for Subsea7 connection, conversion and commissioning for the NARS project in Abu Dhabi, UAE for the HHI / AMDA OPCO. In addition, PTSC Offshore 1 barge is also being operated safely for Modec's MV17.

Port services showed better signals at Vung Tau Port, the number of contractors carrying out the average drilling plan was 2.5 contractors per month, up about 25% compared to the first six months of 2017. PTSC Vung Tau port also provided service for Daman project (03 shipments). The demand for logistics services and other services has also increased significantly over the same period last year.

Other ports, such as PTSC Phu My (Ba Ria-Vung Tau); berth No.1, Dung Quat; Hon La (Quang Binh); Dinh Vu (Hai Phong); Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa) ... continue to exploit stably and safely. Particularly, in the first six months, PTSC Phu My Port has received 64 ships calling at cargo handling with export-import volume reached 1,763,680 tons, up 25.35% over the same period last year.

In the field of human resources supply, PTSC has won many contracts with customers when it has successfully implemented contracts to provide 145 long-term technical staff and 1,381 staffs taking part in short-term service for many oil and gas customers.

Races

In the last six months of the year, PTSC continues to race to exceed the progress of projects and plans, in order to compete with domestic and foreign enterprises in the same field. PTSC also said that it would focus on safe and efficient exploitation of integrated service port facilities while promoting search and cooperation with domestic and foreign partners and contractors who have the necessary capacity.

In addition, PTSC is also considering and evaluating various solutions to promote business development and  expand market development abroad; take full advantage of all opportunities to increase the number of bids for projects. At the same time, PTSC has strengthened cooperative solutions, diversified kinds of products and auxiliary services for big and modern manufacturers with brands from Europe, America, Japan and Korea..

Develop human resources and cooperate management

PTSC orientates the human resources to professionalism, enabling individuals to be proactive, creative in their work, being responsible for their interests, working in a trusting environment. PTSC also harmonize the team of knowledgeable and experienced leaders with a team of young, enthusiastic, creative and brave young people.

According to Mr. Le Manh Cuong, in order to meet the requirements of improving the quality of corporate management, PTSC also needs to analyze and evaluate input and output factors, differences in mechanism and manner of corporate governance. PTSC shall develop solutions to improve capacity and increase the competitiveness of PTSC in the region. In addition, PTSC also apply the effective use of information technology in production, business and enterprise management, enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRP), management Supply Chain Management (SCM), standardization of human resource management and development towards international standards when working with foreign contractors
