PTSC Thanh Hoa organizes the ceremony to announce the navigation channel for the ship with load of 30,000 DWT docking Nghi Son port

In the morning of August 15^th, 2012 at Nghi Son Port, PTSC Thanh Hoa cooperated with the Ministry of Transport, Thanh Hoa People's Committee to hold a ceremony that announces the navigation channel for the ship with load of 30,000 DWT docking at PTSC Thanh Hoa Port.

Attending the ceremony was representative of the Ministry of Transport: Mr. Nguyen Van Cong - Deputy Minister of Transport, representatives of Vietnam Maritime Administration; Mr. Trinh Van Chien, Chairman of People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province; Mr. Nguyen Hung Dung - General Director of PTSC, Mr. Nguyen Huu Hai - Deputy General Director, Mr. Nguyen Tan Hoa - Deputy General Director.

Expressing at the ceremony, Mr. Trinh Van Chien, Nguyen Van Cong, emphasized that: Recently, with the support of the ministries and central branches, Nghi Son Economic Zone Authority has been directed by Thanh Hoa Province to accelerate the dredging of the channel and so far has been eligible for exploitation and use. Along with the road, the announcement of using Nghi Son navigation channel will contribute to the development of Nghi Son Economic Zone. This is one of the five economic development programs that the XVII Provincial Party Congress has proposed so as to ensure the goods through PTSC Thanh Hoa serving the development of Nghi Son Economic Zone and in the region.

The navigation channel for the ship with load of 30,000 DWT at PTSC Thanh Hoa Port was announced and putted in use on 14^th August 2012. Accordingly, the length of the channel L is 3.9 km, the width of the channel bottom B is 120m, the height of the design bottom H is -11m (Nautical Chart), the dredging slope m is 7, the minimum radius R is 885m; turning puddle (at the dock No. 2): the diameter of the puddle is D is 300m, the height bottom is H is -11m (Nautical Chart). Vietnam Maritime Administration has assigned Thanh Hoa Port Authority the responsibility of specialized state management in maritime navigation in the Nghi Son area and PTSC Thanh Hoa is the exploitation unit of port. This is PTSC's deep-water port which was invested in synchronization; the port is capable of receiving the ship with big load (30,000 DWT), serving domestic and international shipping companies, agents, and owners.

The Chairman of Thanh Hoa People's Committee of, the Deputy Minister of Transportation Ministry and the delegates attending the ceremony cut the banner to put Nghi Son navigation channel into use. On this occasion, Chairman of Thanh Hoa People's Committee- Mr. Trinh Van Chien presented flowers to representatives of Thailand ship - AUSTRAL ASIA LINE, capacity of 26,000 DWT carrying equipment for the construction works of Nghi Son 1 Thermal Power Plant docking at PTSC Thanh Hoa Port.
