Thinking about Nghi Son

NSRP Project is a joint-venture project established in April 2008 and sponsored by 4 corporations: Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), Kuwait Petroleum Europe B.V. (KPE) from Kuwait, Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd, and Mitsui Chemical, Inc. from Japan to develop, construct and operate the Nghi Son Oil Refinery.

Although faced with many problems, the construction progress of the NSRP complex has been ensured as planned. That was the great effort of the skilled and experienced experts, engineers and workers from Dung Quat Oil Refinery.

Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex.

On April 27, 2018, NSRP has successfully produced the first commercial fuel products- Mogas 92 RON-that meet the EURO 4 emission standards, contributing to hastening the enforcement of regulations on gas emission standards applied on vehicles in Vietnam.

On May 19, 2018, NSRP successfully operated the RFCC unit, which is considered the heart of the plant. By this time, the RFCC unit is operating stably, reaching 70% of design capacity

Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex has officially commenced its commercial operation since November 14th, 2018.
