New success of PTSC G&S in conquering Myanmar oil and gas market

After nearly 3 months, PTSC Researcher vessel completed the Geophysical Site Survey at Block M-9 and M-11, the offshore of Myanmar for the client named PTTEP International.  

Participating in the package of Geophysical Survey Services at Block M-9 and M-11 of PTTEP International, PTSC Geos and Subsea Services Co., Ltd. (PTSC G&S) has overcome many strong competitors with considerable experience in the world and in areas such as Fugro, EGS, SapuraKencana, Asian Geos.

This is the project for the drilling campaign of PTTEP International at Zawtika, the offshore of Myanmar with the workload up to 13 surveyed areas of 4x4km and the depth of the surveyed area up to 800 meters. Geophysical survey projects in service of exploration and development shall be conducted from 2 to 3 surveyed areas with the implementation duration of 10-15 days. However, for this project, PTSC Researcher Vessel conducted the first 60 consecutive days at, exceeded the schedule and prevented any unsafe incidents.

It is noteworthy that when surveying in areas with complicated construction conditions, such as water depths up to 800 meters, the seabed topography has a high slope (> 23 degrees), required the effort and scientific work of the technical staff and crew of PTSC Researcher to complete the field data collection, meeting the requirements that the customer offers.

At present, PTSC G&S is sending Vietnamese experts to coordinate with customers to process data and complete the report, expected to transfer to customers in April 2018.

At the project completion letter  dated March 15, 2018, Mr. Vitoon Chaisomboonpan - representative of PTTEP International, also the representative of Zawtika management board, praised and appreciated the efforts of the PTSC G&S teamwork that have contributed significantly to the success of the campaign. This praise again confirms the prestige of PTSC G&S for customers, strengthening the image of a reliable and dynamic contractor that PTSC G&S has built up over the years.

Since its inception, PTSC G & S has always set a strategic goal of expanding its operations to the region and the world, including the Myanmar oil and gas market. However, participation in survey projects here is difficult, mainly due to the limitations of both technical and human resources. With the investment and commissioning of 2D High Resolution in PTSC Researcher Vessel, PTSC G&S has started to dominate the domestic service market and gradually established its position in the Southeast Asia market.

In the years 2016 - 2017, PTSC G&S has successfully implemented the project for Thailand Mubadala Petroleum customers, PTTEP Thailand, contributing to enhance the position of the Company in the region. The successful implementation of this major project in Myanmar marks a new step in the path of conquering potential markets in Myanmar as well as in South East Asia by PTSC G&S, especially in the difficulties context of oil companies as it is today.
