PetroVietnam General Director inspected Tien Hai Gas Distribution Center

On August 23, the delegation of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) led by General Director Hung M.L had a meeting to check the situation of Tien Hai Gas Distribution Center - Thai Binh Province.

Mr. Hung.M.L was reported on Ham Rong – Tien Hai Gas System.

Tien Hai Gas Distribution Center is part of Ham Rong and Thai Binh Gas collection and distribution system, plots 102 & 106, which is assigned by PVN to PV GAS as an investor with a total investment of 91.68 million USD.

Tien Hai Industrial Park (IZ) has a 30-year history of development, being the first industrial park to use natural gas (KTN) in Vietnam, and of Thai Binh province - the birthplace of Vietnam's oil and gas industry. The natural gas is exploited from Tien Hai, D14 and Dong Quan D fields, which are gas fields on land. Up to now, the supply of private sector for Tien Hai Industrial Park has been sharply reduced, while the demand for use of natural gas here is increasing.

Project of gathering and distributing gas system of Ham Rong and Thai Binh fields, including a 25km-length pipeline, starting from Thai Binh field (lot 102) to the landing point (LFP) located on Con Vanh, to Tram Station ashore (LFS) in Dong Minh commune, Tien Hai district, Thai Binh and to Gas Distribution Center (GDC) in Tien Hai Industrial Zone. From gas distribution stations with branch pipelines leading to industrial consumers in Tien Hai industrial park; Thai Binh gas field is operated by Petronas; Landing stations (LFS), including major equipment such as linear shutoff valves, optical fiber systems connecting the control with gas distribution centers, office buildings, electrical storage devices and auxiliary systems.

Especially, the Gas Distribution Center covers an area of ​​5 hectares, including major technology systems and equipment, including shuttle receiving systems, 3-phase separators, liquid filtration devices, condensate tanks and export systems. board tank truck, Metering system, condensate / water separator, central control system, factory, office and other auxiliary systems such as 35 / 0.4 KV transformer station, standby generator, treatment system oil contaminated water, fire protection system.

During 4 years of operation, Ham Rong - Thai Binh Gas System has provided an average of 150 million Sm3 / year including CNG and KTA products. In the beginning of 2019, due to the incident of calling the flow after a periodic temporary maintenance stop at the No. 1 well, the system's gas output dropped by 60%

PVN’s inspecting team checked the situation of Tien Hai Gas Distribution Center.

PVN's General Director Hung.M. L highly appreciated the management and professional production and business system of Ham Rong - Thai Binh Gas Distribution Center in particular and PV GAS in general. In addition, General Director of PVN also has some suggestions about the development strategy of CNG gas business in Thai Binh as well as the Southeast provinces. Accordingly, the natural gas source is a clean energy source, suitable for developing green industry under the Government's orientation. Therefore, as a pillar of the national gas industry, PV GAS needs to improve its business strategy not only to supply industrial gas to agents, but also to consumers.

On the other hand, the Group will coordinate with exploration and exploitation units, actively search, develop and put into operation small and marginal gas fields to increase the amount of gas supplied to industrial parks of Northern coastal provinces.
